Google+ Improvments: Hangouts

No One Is Here Right NowSo I’ve been using Google+ for a couple days now and Hangouts are quickly becoming my favorite feature. However, there are a couple of ways Google could improve on it and I’ll be more than happy to share them with you…

The “View All Hangouts” Button

Pretty self-explanatory, right? Basically, I’d like to be able to know who’s running a Hangout session at any given time. This functionality might only show Hangouts that are available to anyone within the host’s Circle. If the Hangout isn’t that public, then you wouldn’t see it. Without this button, it seems likely that you’d miss out on some good hang time as the notifications get pushed down in the stream.

Screen Share and Document Share

Hangouts has the potential to be the ultimate collaboration tool. The ability for someone to show their screen in the middle of a hangout would put people like WebEx and GoToMeeting out of business.

And, why not use some of that Wave technology and allow us to share/collaborate on a Google Doc? Seems a waste to let that tech go to waste when it would fit so seamlessly into the Google + world.

What are your suggestions. I’d love to hear ‘em!
